ESPN to start broadcasting to mobile phones
ESPN network has said that they are now offering live and complete football games for viewing on cell phones.
This kind of service is the first of its kind in the US market as the struggling television network is trying to lure in more customers.
This new service will offer subscribers up to 25 games per month from ESPN and ESPN2. First of the games on offer would be Florida State vs. Miami on September 4.
It would run through the 2006 college football season and these programs would also be available on air and on the ESPN360 broadband channel.
This service would include text alerts, real-time scores and news.
