Samsung planning to launch its own digital music download service
South Korean tech giant Samsung has said that they are planning to launch their own digital music download service.
In addition, they would also be launched a new range of digital music player to compliment this new service which would perhaps take on Apple iTunes.
They would be working with privately held media provider MusicNet for technology.
As part of their deal with MusicNet, Samsung would get underlying technologies and library of music from MusicNet for this digital music service and online stores in Britain, Germany and France.
It would then be expanded to other markets around the world. Samsung plans to make available as many as 2 million songs through this service.
This new store might see a launch as early as later this year.
