Google News now providing news information from the past
Users of Google News know that they can find the information from the last 30 days or so on this service on the net.
They now have much more to be cheerful about. The search engine giant has now launched a free news archive service, which enables the users to get news content from the past. The information available is from sources as old as 1700s.
The company has added a “news archive search” feature and these showcases articles, which are either free for download or available for purchase from their publishers. Google is providing the search and archiving feature for free.
Google said in a statement on this new service launch: “Google News now has archive search to help users quickly and easily search for events, people and ideas over different periods of time. History buffs and curious users alike can explore more than 200 years of historical information to get a glimpse of the emotions and attitudes of the past.”
