Apple launches a new quad Xeon, 64-bit desktop workstation Mac Pro
Apple Computer has launched a new quad Xeon, 64-bit desktop workstation Mac Pro. This new product comes loaded with two new dual-core Intel processors.
Apple is targeting these new products at the vertical segment like the entertainment segment and films segments.
Steve Jobs, CEO, Apple spoke on this launch: “Apple has successfully completed the transition to using Intel processors in just seven months. And what better product to complete it with than the new Mac Pro, the workstations Mac users have been dreaming about.”
Apple claims that this Mac Pro is up to twice as fast as the Power Mac G5 Quad running industry standard benchmarks.
This new product from Apple is available immediately through 120 Apple authorized resellers in India and is priced at Rs 1,63,700.
