Apple to fix MacBook with shutdown problems for free
Apple Computer has admitted that some MacBook indeed are suffering from a problem, which results in automatic shutdowns. And they have now said that the problem would be fixed for the affected consumers free of charge.
Apple wrote in a memo sent to its service providers: “Some MacBooks may shut down intermittently under normal use. If this issue occurs on your customer’s MacBook and the computer meets certain requirements, Apple will cover replacement of the affected parts under warranty.”
The problems have been highlighted online in forums and blogs and this is causing a PR headache for the company, which already is going through a massive recall of their older generation laptop batteries.
The company has been facing a lot of hardware related problems on their notebooks ever since they moved to the Intel platform. Let’s hope the newer generation products would be more Apple like. Free of troubles that is.
