Facebook users win as site forced to change privacy policies

Online social networking portal Facebook recently added some new features to their portal, which resulted in a user protest.

The new features made it easier for users to keep track of activities on their friend’s page through feeds.

Users complained that it revealed too much information about them to not so close friends added on their friend list on the service.

Facebook had to make this feature optional after thousands of users complained to the developers of the website.

Users can now turn off this new feature to keep their updates to their pages. Facebook’s chief executive, Mark Zuckerberg admitted in an open letter to their users: “We really messed this one up.”
