AT&T Broadband TV: AT&T to offer television channels on the internet

US based telecom giant AT&T has announced that they would soon offer an internet based service to let web users watch television content from as many as 20 channels.

This service would be named AT&T Broadband TV and it would be made available to high-speed Internet users at $19.99 a month.

This would just become the latest value add-on service for their customers as they aim to meet the growing demands for mobile and over-the-Web entertainment.

They are planning to limit this service availability to customers in the US market and are targeting business travelers.

AT&T faces competition from existing services from television studios who are starting to offer online broadcasts of their television shows. In addition, it would also provide an alternative to online stores like Apple iTunes, which sell television episodes for a nominal fee.
