Sony now faces problems with the new Walkman player launch

Sony is finding itself in a lot of mess. They are the primary culprit in the massive battery recall announced by Dell and Apple.

Their Playstation 3 is delayed and they are facing issues launching it on a worldwide scale this coming November.

And now the company has said that it would postpone the launch of a new Walkman music player by a week in Japan. Sony is facing issues due to malfunction of microchips used in the machine.

They had received these chips from a third party company but are hopeful that the delay would not hurt their financial reports in the coming months.

Sony was due to launch their S-series flash memory-based Walkman on September 15 in Japan. The launch has now been postponed to September 23.
