Credit Suisse expect Apple to sell 1 million notebooks this year

Credit Suisse analyst, Robert Semple has said in a report that they expect the iPod maker Apple Computer to sell a record 1 million notebook machines this year.

As per their estimates, Apple has already shipped as many as 775,000 units till September.

Robert Semple wrote in a research note distributed to clients: “Our channel checks indicate overall MacBook shipments are tracking at approximately 200,000 ahead of our initial estimate of 580,000.”

They expect the company to sell 250,000 MacBook Pros in the current quarter.

They are also expecting the sales to grow at a faster pace in the coming months considering the recently launched products from the company have been a hit amongst the consumers.
