Palm to launch Palm Treo 750v in Europe
Palm has unveiled their latest Smartphone targeted at the European markets. This new product is Treo 750v and they would be selling this phone in Europe through collaboration with British mobile phone giant Vodafone Plc.
Palm is hoping that they would achieve success with this new phone as they take on competing products from Motorola, Nokia and RIM.
Palm Treo 750v Smartphone is capable of surfing the internet. It can also send and receive mails and help the user organize his data.
The company added that this model has been designed specifically for the European market. It is powered by the popular Microsoft Windows Mobile platform and it would be sold in Vodafone markets including Austria, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.
Page Murray, Palm vice president of worldwide marketing spoke on this launch: “Smartphones are a tiny piece of the U.S. marketplace but they are a much bigger piece of the European marketplace. This launch is the biggest launch we’ve ever made from the perspective of our investment in marketing.”
