Apple iPod and iTunes combo to get many challengers in the coming months
Apple is undoubtedly the market leader when it comes to selling digital music players and digital music online. Their combo of Apple iPod and Apple iTunes has been a massive success in many countries around the world.
Now, their competitors are planning to do something similar to get more aggressive against the company.
RealNetworks is talking with SanDisk to come out with a player, which is designed to work with their own digital music download service Rhapsody.
Microsoft is already working on their Zune player which would complement an upcoming digital music service along with existing ones like the Urge.
Samsung is another player in this segment planning to launch a digital music service to complement its MP3 players.
