It's all in the marketing... Those goddamned Intel commercials, even my mother won't buy a computer that doesn't have that logo on it and she can't even say why. It's because of those stupid commercials. AMD is better bang for the buck. Not saying it's a better proc although it might be, I don't care. So, AMD is Intel's baby, but guess what both have made consederable leaps in chips, but I would have to say, that AMD has outgrown its daddy ("Who's your daddy?" Yankee stadium), and they simply make better chips, and cheeper chips.
