YouTube collaborating with Warner Music
Internet’s most popular destination for video sharing YouTube.com has finally signed on its first commercial partnership with Warner Music Group Corp.
This collaboration would result in official music videos being made available on this service. Some of the artists to be covered include some big names like Madonna, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Sean Paul.
The two companies said in a statement that this deal would help Warner distribute music videos, behind-the-scenes footage, artist interviews and original programming.
In addition, the users of YouTube would be allowed to incorporate music from Warner’s catalog into the videos they create and upload.
Chad Hurley, YouTube chief executive and co-founder added on this development: “We’ve been in discussions with many of the labels, television networks and movies studios.â€
