Nokia to rely on Microsoft Live Search for their mobile phones
If you are a fan of Google, this might disappoint you. Nokia is the world’s largest maker of mobile phones and they have now signed on a deal with Microsoft to integrate Live Search capabilities into Nokia’s Mobile Search.
This deal would mean that the owners of upcoming Nokia’s high-end mobile phones would be able to access Live Search directly from their Nokia N-series multimedia phones and other compatible Nokia phones using Series 60 software.
Interestingly, Nokia had a similar deal with Yahoo! in the past and it looks like Microsoft has managed to upstage their rivals by offering the company a better deal.
Microsoft does have the resources and with Vista coming up, they can have all the support from the world’s largest maker of mobile phone products.
