Panasonic to come out with a Blu-Ray recorder player
Panasonic is expected to become the first player in the market to bring a Blu-Ray recorder player in the market. It would be a good boost for this technology supporting companies as rival Toshiba has already launched a comparable product.
Current devices available in the market can either play Blu-Ray media or record on blank discs. These are from Sony and Samsung.
Akira Kadota, representative for Matsushita Electric Industrial said in a statement on their upcoming product: “The combination of recorder and player for the Blu-ray format is the first of this kind in the world. For Japanese consumers, the recording function is essential as the quality of TV screens here is very high.â€
This drive is expected to sell for around 300,000 yen (2,600 dollars). It is expected to debut in the market in November.
