Google loses appeal in the Belgian court
Search engine giant Google has lost an appeal in the Belgian court, which required it to publish a ruling it lost on its home page.
The company now plans to appeal again at a Nov. 24 hearing when the court takes up a broader challenge.
Google is already facing daily fines of about $640,000 for refusing to post the Sept. 5 ruling on its Belgian home pages.
Google has already complied with the demand of the court to stop taking news articles for syndication from some popular Belgian news sources including Le Soir, La Libre Belgique and La Derniere Heure.
