Sony to investigate the Lenovo notebook fire incident
Japanese consumer electronic equipment maker Sony has confirmed that they are currently investigating the fire incident on a Lenovo laptop PC reportedly widely in the media.
The media reports had claimed that the laptop was carrying Sony made batteries. The company already is facing a lot of criticism for the recent recalls from dell and Apple for notebooks carrying Sony batteries.
Dell and Apple have together recalled nearly 6 million notebooks related to battery overheating and burning problems.
A Sony spokesperson confirmed in a statement that they are looking into the matter though it is still not clear whether the notebook was loaded with Sony’s batteries. Lenovo itself is yet to come out with their statement on this issue.
