Hyundai launches Hyundai Verna in India
South Korean automaker Hyundai has finally launched the new Hyundai Verna car in the Indian market.
The car is available in both petrol and a diesel variant like the original Hyundai Accent. The petrol version comes powered with a 1.6-liter petrol DOHC VTVT engine. VTVT here stands for Variable Timing Valve Train.
The CRDI diesel engine uses the VGT technology, which is Variable Geometry Turbocharger.
H S Lheem, Managing Director, Hyundai Motor India spoke on this launch: “During the last couple of years, we have tested Varna in all engine load condition; we have modified the suspension and have also improved the air-conditioning system.”
Arvind Saxena, Vice President, Marketing added: “The product has to speak for itself. Marketing beyond a point can only work and support, if the product is good. And we believe today that we have a winner at hand.”
The car is priced in the range between Rs 6.19 lakh at the lower end for the petrol version to Rs 7.35 lakh for the diesel version. With the Diwali festival just around the corner, this is the perfect time for the company to launch this new car.
