Google working on Google Base upgrade
Search engine giant Google is working on improvising on the searches made on their primary search engine to prepare for the upcoming holiday season.
The company would enhance the shopping searching abilities on Google.com search engine. As per incoming information, the update would result in another search box coming up on searching for products to enable the web user to refine his query.
Further searching would provide the user with search results from the Google Base service. Google is still not using the Google Base service for running advertising but this might change in the next couple of months.
Google as a result is showing that they are somewhat putting their Froogle.com service on the backburner. The company also recently removed a link to this service from the homepage of their search engine. They however added on the Video search feature.
