CinemaNow to offer ‘Download-to-Burn’ version of The Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift
Web based movie store CinemaNow has said that they would soon be offering a version of Universal Picture’s “The Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift” which the consumers would be able to burn onto a DVD disk.
This release would take place on the same day the movie DVD is made available in store by the movie studio.
This would be a first for any movie from a major Hollywood studio and might start a new trend. They have been worried about possible internet piracy by making available digital versions of movies, which can be burnt onto a DVD disk.
However, competition from online video services has made them to rethink their strategies and Universal Picture is aiming to become the first one to offer this privilege to the web based customers.
