Search engine giant Yahoo! acquires video-editing site Jumpcut
Internet Company Yahoo! has said in a statement that they are acquiring Jumpcut. Jumpcut provides online tools to perform video editing.
The company is expected to use the expertise gained from acquiring this company to further enhance their web-based services.
Using tools provided by Jumpcut, users could manipulate moving video images without the need to own or install software on their own computers.
Jumpcut wrote on their website on this new development: “As part of Yahoo we’ll be working on bringing video editing and remixing to everyone with an Internet connection.â€
This is just the latest acquisition by Yahoo! in the recent times to enhance their online services. They already have acquired photo sharing site Flickr and online bookmark site Del.icio.us.
