Vodafone 710: Vodafone launches self-branded low cost 3G mobile phone products

UK based mobile service provider Vodafone has as expected launched its first self-branded mobile phone product featuring 3G technology.

Vodafone showcased this mobile phone product and expects to make it available in the retail market next month.

This new phone has been christened Vodafone 710 and it has been developed by the Chinese telecom giant Huawei Technologies.

Vodafone said in a statement which launching the phone: “The move will assist the uptake of 3G services due to the lower cost per handset and the fact that the Vodafone 710 will be offered on pre-pay as well as contract and will provide wide market access to 3G.”

Impressively, the phone features an MP3 music player, 1.3-megapixel camera and Bluetooth connectivity. It also comes with support for the Vodafone’s core services such as mobile TV, music downloads and video telephony.

The company plans to launch this handset in markets like the UK, Germany, Spain, Italy, Ireland, Greece, Netherlands, Romania and Portugal from early October.
