Hewlett Packard acquires VoodooPC to get an entry into Videogaming PC Market

Hewlett-Packard has confirmed that they are going to acquire Canada based computer game manufacturer VoodooPC.

The company now plans to form a new business unit focused on the video game industry. They have however not revealed the financial details of this deal.

VoodooPC was founded in 1991 and has established itself as makers of high performance Videogaming machines.

This acquisition deal is expected to be complete before the end of the current year. HP said in a statement: “This acquisition, once closed, will extend HP’s presence into the high-performance gaming market. Following the close of the transaction, HP will form a separate business unit within its Personal Systems Group focused on the gaming industry.”
