Google launches SearchMash

We really have not seen Google innovating much on their general search tools. But, we now might have something to look forward too as the company has introduced their latest search tool concept service named SearchMash.

Google might test out some of their concepts on their new search site, which is apparently picking up results from the regular Google’s search engine. A company spokesperson was quoted as saying in the media: “The goal of SearchMash is to test innovative user interfaces in order to continually improve the overall search experience for our users.”

The current version is very simplistic and does not include any kind of Google branding. Any form of advertising is missing as well. The service offers image searching along with regular search results and is pretty fast. The thing we like the most about it is the Nice URLs similar to Amazon’s A9.

Maybe, we can call this one the Google 2.0!
