Wall Street Journal claims Google in talk with YouTube.com

We have already heard reports of internet company Yahoo! considering the acquisition of YouTube.com for an estimated USD 1 billion.

The latest rumor in the market is that now search engine giant Google is talking with the company for a deal worth close to around $1.6 billion.

This has been reported in a news item by the Wall Street Journal. However, the report added that the talks are currently in sensitive stages and can break up any moment.

YouTube.com was founded less than two years ago and has become one of the favorite destinations online for millions of web users to checkout user created videos.

They recently hired former Yahoo! Treasurer Gideon Yu as its chief financial officer, which fueled the reports saying that the company is looking for potential buyers.
