Click: First movie on sale on a 50GB Blu-ray Disc
Adam Sandler comedy flick ‘Click’ would become the first movie to be sold on the 50GB Blu-ray Disc developed by Sony.
Sony Pictures would be launching this movie on this high capacity Blu-Ray format today. They also plan to release two more movies on this disc in the near future: Ridley Scott’s “Black Hawk Down” and “Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby”.
Both of these would be made available in the retail market by the end of the year.
20th Century Fox is also going to release “Kingdom of Heaven” on November 14 on this format. In addition, Lionsgate is preparing a dual-layer Blu-ray Disc of “The Descent” for a December release.
The Click disk from Sony would feature an audio commentary with star Adam Sandler, director Frank Coraci, executive producer Tim Herlihy and writer Steve Koren; four deleted scenes; and seven featurettes, including a documentary on the film’s special effects and a “Director’s Take.”
