This would allow the local citizens to access internet wirelessly from public hotspots in addition to homes, offices and schools.
These plans were revealed by the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore.
The free internet service would be provided up to a speed of 512 Kbps. Consumers who want to surf the web at a faster pace could opt for a premium service.

We must create digital opportunities for Singaporeans and never allow a digital divide in our society.”
