NTT DoCoMo launches Panasonic P903i model with anti-theft features

Japan’s leading mobile service provider NTT DoCoMo has launched a new mobile phone from Panasonic named P903i.

This phone comes with security features which locks the phone if it is stolen, lost or left behind.

Panasonic P903i handset comes loaded with an electronic card, which detects if the phone is moved away from the customer beyond a particular distance.

A company spokesperson had more details: “Once the signal between the two objects stops transmitting, because they are too far apart, the telephone blocks itself.”

NTT DoCoMo is also planning to offer a new service, which would allow the users to find lost handsets through a satellite-based navigation system.
