Palm Inc launches the new Palm Treo 680
Palm Inc. has just launched their latest product in the Treo range named Palm Treo 680. This new product is targeted at the casual users.
The company also added that they are not looking for any potential buyer of the company. Chief Executive Ed Colligan spoke on the market speculations: “The company is not for sale. We have not been out pursuing (a deal). Our strategy is to execute against our plan.”
Palm also added that they plan to offer Google Inc.’s interactive maps to Treo users in the coming days to provide better services.
This new Palm Treo 680 is expected to be priced in the range of around USD 200. Colligan spoke on this product: “We are hoping to cross into that (consumer) group some more. We are seeing more college kids and mothers with Treos. We are trying to accelerate that more by making it a little more accessible.”
