Apple launches the Special Edition RED iPod nano
Apple Computer as expected has finally launched their special edition RED iPod nano. This launch is a part of Apple’s contribution to the AIDS charity – (PRODUCT) RED.
This new Apple iPod nano is similar to other second-generation (aluminum) nanos and comes with 4GB of memory.
It is available for sale for US$199 and Apple would contribute USD 10 to the fund for every Special Edition RED iPod nano sold in the market.
In addition, The Fifth Avenue (NYC) Apple retail store has changed their iconic white logo to red to mark the occasion.
Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO spoke on this launch: “We’re honored to work with Bono, (RED) and this team to contribute to an incredibly important initiative and help change the way people think about AIDS in Africa.”
