Intel’s Quad Core coming on November 13

Hewlett Packard is said to be the first personal computer maker to deliver machines powered with the upcoming Quad Core processors from Intel Corp.

These machines are expected to be launched in the market on November 13 and analysts believe that they would be powered by the planned Intel’s planned Xeon 5300 chip.

This launch would mean that Intel would beat AMD to launch quad core processors to market. AMD itself is scheduled to launch their own quad core processors sometime next year.

AMD claims that their monolithic design of the quad core processors would make them superior to the Intel’s quad core processors. However, it remains to be seen if the architecture of the processors would indeed result in a difference in the end result.
