Yahoo! acquire video advertising specialty company AdInterax
With Google acquiring YouTube.com and trying to become a big player in the video advertising market, it becomes necessary for rivals Yahoo! to do something in this field.
They have now announced their decision to acquire video advertising specialty company AdInterax
The terms of conditions of this deal have not been disclosed to the media. Though, Yahoo! did say in a statement that AdInterax would be a tool to help its advertisers “use sight, sound and motion to deliver a message.”
Yahoo! vice president Greg Coleman added in a statement: “Creativity in advertising is critical to the further adoption of the Internet as a marketing medium.”
AdInterax chief executive Peter Matsuo had this to say: “We look forward to joining the Yahoo family. We believe the addition of AdInterax’s tools and technology into Yahoo’s services will create compelling offerings for marketers and publishers.”
