Samsung showcases 70-inch HD LCD Panel
South Korean tech giant Samsung Electronics has showcased a 70-inch LCD panel. The company believes that this would help them make the LCD television sets popular in the big-screen TV sector.
One of the interesting aspects of this new panel is that it refreshes the picture 120 times a second. This is double than that of general LCD panels. As a result, the image is smoother on the screen.
Samsung is planning to begin commercial production of the 70-inch panel early next year. It should than make its way into the television sets sold in the retail market.
Samsung Electronics is one of the world’s largest display makers. And LCD technology products compete with plasma display panels in the large screen TV market.
