Sir Richard Branson planning a non-stop around the world flight

This man does not like to stay out of news. Just after the launch of Virgin Online Music Store, they were back with the Space Tourism Project, which already has the support of 7000 people. Now he is in news for another dare, which could last as much as 80 hours.

Sir Richard hails it as the greatest aviation challenge of them all. Flying solo around the world and that too non-stop is what he plans to do. The plane for this project is a futuristic single-engined jet and the trip is expected to take place in January next year.

He has selected American adventurer Steve Fossett to pilot the plane. Fossett has already accompanied Branson in many earlier adventures. And Richard thinks he is the best man for the job. Staying awake for 80 hours and driving the plane around the world would require an extraordinary effort but Sir Richard is well known for these adventures.
