AOL collaborates with Paramount Pictures for selling movies and television programs
Time Warner’s internet division AOL is collaborating with Paramount Pictures and they would soon start selling Movies and television shows from its archive on their new video portal.
Some of the movies to be made available through this new service would be old classics like “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” and “Chinatown” and recent releases like “Mission: Impossible III”. These would be sold for $9.99 to $19.99 each. These prices are comparable with competing video download services like CinemaNow, MovieLink and Guba.
These downloads would be owned by the paying customer and he would be allowed to transfer them to as many as three other computers or portable devices that support Microsoft Windows Media Player technology.
These movies would be made available for sale and not renting at the moment.
