Apple Computer to open a new store in Manhattan

Apple Computer has confirmed that they would open their third Manhattan retail store at SL Green Realty Corp.’s retail joint venture at West 34th Street.

Andrew Mathias, SL Green’s chief investment officer spoke on this new development: “The team had to negotiate more than six separate transactions and explore the outer reaches of the New York City building code with help of several consultants.”

Apple’s stores in Manhattan have been pretty innovative. They recently launched the glass cube entryway at Apple’s underground Fifth Avenue location. Their other store in the city features a glass staircase.

The company also just confirmed that their new MacBook Pro notebooks would feature Intel Core 2 Duo processors.
