Cisco Systems planning to acquire mobile software vendor Orative
Cisco Systems has said in a statement that they now aim to broaden up its unified communications portfolio as they now are planning to acquire mobile software vendor Orative in a $31 million deal.
Orative specializes in making software that will enable customers to tie their cellular phones into their Cisco VoIP and unified communications deployments.
Orative has around 33 people working for it and is already a part of the Cisco’s Technology Developer Partner program.
Alex Hadden-Boyd, director of mobile unified communications at Cisco said in a statement on these plans: “Our unified communications channel partners will be able to add this to their portfolios. It will allow them to forge new partnerships with mobile operators and handset vendors.”
