Super Deluxe: Turner Broadcasting System to launch a broadband comedy network
Cable network company Turner Broadcasting System has said that they are aiming to launch a broadband comedy network in January.
This comes as the parent company Time Warner is working hard on enhancing their online presence. The company already has established TV channels like CNN and TNT and they now plans to launch Super Deluxe, an advertising-supported Internet site.
This site would feature originally-produced comedy videos aimed at young adult viewers.
Turner added that it aims to create and distribute “television quality” short-form films and episodic shows featuring established and emerging actors. These would also be shown on cable TV video-on-demand services.
