Source: Viacom asked YouTube.com to clean Colbert, Stewart clips
Viacom sources have said that the company had asked the YouTube.com video sharing website to remove the videos containing their material. These videos included the popular clips featuring Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert.
This process was part of the ongoing discussions going on between the two companies. However, some of these clips are still available on the web service. But, no one knows for how long.
As per the available information, the company asked content related to shows like “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart,” “The Colbert Report” and some others from MTV Networks and BET removed from their databases.
Viacom and YouTube.com officially have not commented on these reports.
