Daily Show and Colbert Report videos back on YouTube.com

As per incoming reports, videos from the popular television shows Daily Show and Colbert Report are back on the popular video sharing service YouTube.com.

Apparently, Viacom and YouTube have reached an agreement allowing these clips to be available on the website.

However, full episodes of the shows are still not available as widely as they were some days back. Market analysts had predicted that Google’s acquisition of YouTube would result in increase of complaints against the service hosting copyrighted videos.

The situation is more complicated considering Viacom sells episodes of these popular shows through Apple iTunes for USD 1.99 per show.

Viacom said in a statement on these events: “Like our peers in the media industry, we are focused on finding the right business model for professionally created content to be legally distributed on the Internet. We want our audiences to be able to access our programming on every platform and we’re interested in having it live on all forms of distribution in ways that protect our talented artists, our loyal customers and our passionate audiences.”
