Sony’s “type G” Vaio: Sony aims to launch the world’s lightest notebook in December
Japanese consumer electronics giant Sony has said that they would start selling the world’s lightest notebook computer in December in Japan.
This would help them expand their presence amongst the business consumers who like to use ultra light weight notebooks.
Sony’s “type G” Vaio would be the world’s lightest notebook at just around 898 grams. It would feature a 12.1-inch liquid crystal display (LCD) screen.
The company also plans to launch a basic model of its new “type G” computer. It would run for 12.5 hours on a battery and is not equipped with an optical drive. They would sell it for around 220,000 yen in the Japanese market.
