Yahoo! Autos Green Center: Portal on alternative-fuel vehicles
Internet giants Yahoo! has announced the launch of a new section devoted to automobiles which runs on alternative fuel.
This section has been named Yahoo! Autos Green Center. The company promises that the visitors to this section would get comprehensive, unbiased, data about such vehicles available in the market.
They are working with nonprofit Environment Defense organization to give vehicles “green ratings” based on greenhouse gas emissions, polluting exhaust, and fuel economy.
Yahoo Autos general manager Jennifer Dulski spoke on this launch: “Our Green Center is at the confluence of two large, growing trends — green going mainstream, and the explosion of social media on the Web.”
