NASA preparing for Space shuttle Discovery launch
US space agency NASA is preparing for the upcoming Space shuttle Discovery launch scheduled for December.
The space agency plans a week of tests to make sure the electrical and mechanical connections are intact.
During this mission, the shuttle would carry another section of the half-built International Space Station’s metal truss to the orbit.
As per NASA estimates, it would take 14 more flights to complete construction of the International Space Station.
During the mission, astronauts would also install the station’s new truss segment and rewire the station.
