Google waives Google Checkout fees for this holiday season
Search engine giant Google is going offensive against eBay’s PayPal as they have just announced their plans to waive the merchant processing fees for its 4-month-old payment service Google Checkout.
The fees are waived till December 31 and would cover the upcoming holiday season. Google is hoping that this would get more consumers and merchants to try out their services.
Merchants already have the option to avoid the processing fees by advertising on Google’s online advertising system.
Google Checkout is an electronic payment system similar to eBay PayPal and it serve as an electronic wallet for people who shop on the internet.
