Baidu collaborating with eBay’s Eachnet in China
Baidu.com is the china’s most user search engine and they are now getting into a partnership with eBay’s Eachnet auction website to compete against the growing competition in the country.
The two companies have been already working with each other since quite sometime and they have now plans to expand that relationship.
Baidu said that as part of this deal, they would promote PayPal Beibao, the online payments service of eBay in China. They would also become the exclusive provider of text-based search advertising on the Eachnet auction site.
Together, these two companies would challenge the domination of Alibaba.com (connected with Yahoo!) and Tencent Holdings Ltd. (connected to Google).
Eachnet and Baidu also plan to provide a co-branded toolbar to their users.
