Fiat Linea might be launched in India
Fiat and Tata Motors are further extending their partnership. Fiat has said that they are now planning to make Tata Motors’ new 1-tonne pick-up truck at its plant in Argentina.
These trucks would then be sold in Latin American and overseas markets. The truck would be marketed under Fiat and Tata brands and is expected to be launched in the market by 2008.
Fiat is aiming at fiscal year sales of around 25000 units.
Fiat and Tata are also setting up a joint venture to distribute Iveco-Tata branded vehicles in Brazil.
Fiat is also planning to launch their Linea, a C-segment sedan in the Indian market. Looks like Fiat is finally getting something right when it comes to dealing with the Indian automobile market.
