Europeans well connected to the Internet
The European Commission has said in a statement that more than half of European households have access to the Internet.
European Union’s Eurostat data agency has released some figures and as per them, 52 percent of households could log onto the Internet in the first quarter of this year.
This is an improvement from 48 percent for the same period of 2005.
In addition, around 32 percent households in the region have some form of broadband connectivity. Netherland is one of the most connected nations with 80 percent households having net connections. Denmark comes on the second spot with 79% connectivity.
