Honda to start selling a fuel-cell vehicle starting from 2008

Japanese automaker Honda has said that they would start selling a fuel-cell vehicle similar to their FCX concept into limited production in 2008.

The company is already selling gasoline-electric hybrids in various countries around the world. Honda is also planning to bring cleaner-burning diesel engines to its U.S. cars.

One of their aims is to start selling a Civic that uses natural gas as fuel source. The company has received support from various celebrities including President Bush and California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.

The company has also showcased its FCX Concept in a very controlled environment to auto journalists. Honda said that its FCX Concept would move into the prototype stage.
