Orb Networks aims to provide YouTube.com videos on mobile devices
Orb Networks has said that they are planning to offer software applications to make YouTube videos accessible from mobile devices. They would be launching this new software program this week itself.
This would mean mobile users would have a way to watch YouTube videos well before the website itself makes available them on the mobile devices.
YouTube has said in the past that they plan to make their service accessible from mobile devices by next year. Orb already provide software products to let the mobile users view their own digital media stored on a home computer.
Orb founder Joe Costello spoke on this new offering: “Everything you can play on your own computer can go anywhere.” He said that enabling YouTube videos on mobile phones required some tweaking in their application.
However, their upcoming software application would only run on higher end mobile products like Motorola’s Q model or Nokia’s N80 phone.
