NBC to offer video podcast for free on Apple iTunes
NBC News has said in a statement that they would start offering “NBC Nightly News” and “Meet the Press” via video podcast free on Apple iTunes.
They are already streaming the videos on the website MSNBC.com and are also offering audio of both shows as audio podcasts. This latest news means that the video podcast would be made available for the first time to the web users.
NBC said that the “NBC Nightly News” would be available every weeknight at 10 p.m. EST. “Meet the Press” would be made available as a video podcast at 1 p.m. EST.
MSNBC.com deputy editor Randy Stearns added in a statement on this decision: “It makes sense to provide the content to viewers in whatever format they prefer.”
Media group ESPN has also added that they would soon begin offering their ESPN radio shows as podcasts on Apple iTunes.
